The website does set and access cookies. Cookies are used only to enhance your experience as a user of the website, however, and not to track your movement through the website. You can still use the website if you turn the cookies off.
Data that is automatically exchanged between computers does not reveal your personal identity. The website uses software programs to gather data only for statistical purposes and to satisfy the technical requirements of internet navigation (monitor network traffic, or to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage). This software receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted the website, the date and time of the visit and the pages visited. Unless we have detected an attempt to damage our website, we make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of persons visiting the site.
The website does not collect any personal information about you, such as your name, phone number or e-mail address for any other use than to respond to a request that you may send us by using the contact us form.
In other words, as required by provincial law (see the links section below), we will not gather any personal information from you without your prior consent, or without telling you why that information is being collected. Furthermore, we will only share the information you give us with another SBJH department if your inquiry relates to that department. We will not use the information to create individual profiles, nor will we disclose this information to anyone outside SBJH.
Unless otherwise specifically noted, neither electronic systems nor e-mail are a secure method of transmitting information. We do not recommend, therefore, that you transmit sensitive personal information electronically.
